FlexConfig RBS, Gateway and Control – Update 2.1

In FlexConfig RBS, Gateway and Control we have developed a software solution that enables you to rapidly and easily configure remaining bus simulations, gateways and manipulations between two buses. The latest Version 2.1, which is expected to be available from March 2012, will provide you with yet more features for working with vehicle networks. So without any additional expense you can update existing projects to new K-matrices. Version 2.1 now also supports a low-speed CAN data bus. This increases the number of options for connecting ECUs, thus providing data transfer between FlexRay, high-speed CAN and low-speed CAN. Also new is the synchronization between two FlexRay networks by means of the FlexRay cycle counter: as well as the existing solution with synchronization to the frame start, you can now also include the cycle counter when calculating the offset. As a result the routing time in the gateway can be configured deterministically.

A new highlight is that in versions after update 2.1 relevant manipulations can be stored permanently on the FlexXCon midget hardware using FlexConfig Control in order for data to be manipulated even more easily in gateway mode. The benefit: without the need for any new programming, manipulations that have already been used are available again following a hardware reset. Most of the additional features have been integrated in FlexConfig Control. As well as the option to logically link four trigger criteria, there have also been a number of improvements to details which make FlexConfig Control even more versatile to use. For instance there is now an option to use signal manipulations even for complex signals and situations - with the usual simple, easy functionality.
